Today we bow in humble submission to Thank You Lord for sending Levi Corbitt our way. We Thank You God for giving him the desire, at a very early age, to become converted and baptized, joining the Oakey Spring Missionary Baptist Church, Salley South Carolina, serving faithfully – Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent of Sunday School, President of Senior Choir, Member of Mass Choir, Church Clerk, Usher, and Emeritus Chairman of Deacon Board.
We Thank You God for allowing him to grow into manhood, and for the education he received. We Thank You for allowing him to be employed as a Construction Worker, United States Postal Service Custodian, and Custodian in District Six of Orangeburg County at Dover High School for than 20 years, where he retired.
We Praise You for allowing him to be united in Holy Wedlock to Vastine Green on December 25, 1933, who preceded him in death. They became the proud parents of two sons, Nathaniel Corbitt and John Calvin Corbitt, Sr., both preceding him in death, and one daughter, Annie Lee Corbitt, North, South Carolina.
